Our first album “Something To Respond To” is officially yours. It has been sent off towards the sky with lots of love, energy, hard work and is carrying 11 small personal letters from our lives.
It feels very surreal.
The first video is from last night, when we were waiting for the album to drop. It shows pretty much how it feels and how nervous and happy you are at the same time.
The album concept is something we’ve always wanted to do, but we’ve never been ready until now. And finally we are here.
We had a dream about making an album that would be something new and something different from the other EPs. It is important for us to keep moving, keep exploring and to be constantly curious. Making this album now and with these 11 songs is our way of keeping ourself and our creativity alive.
The musical features on the album
For us, working with music means working with a lot of inspiring people. And oh boy, do we have a great list of good people. We will start off by presenting the features.
During this album process we invited three great artists on board the ship as featuring artists on three different songs.
First we have always great Farveblind, who is a big part of “Will They Grow Up Into Young Soldiers Of Love?”. Thank you so much for being a part of this song. It ended up as a perfect fit and we couldn’t be happier.
Second featuring artist is the iconic Troels Abrahamsen (you may know him from the band VETO). He brought so much energy, life and sound to the track “Alive” and this song is everything we wanted. Thanks for your quirky sounds and ideas. An honor.
The last great artist is Simon Littauer, who played all the beautiful synth and soundscapes on the last song “My Only Love So far”. We are absolutely in love with the way you create cinematic sounds. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Another thanks is going out to the children’s choir from Vidar Waldorf School who are singing beautifully on the song “Lost”. We are in love with the way it ended up.
We have a lot of great people to thank
We recorded the album in the iconic old studio Farvemøllen in Copenhagen with the best technicians Mads and Christian. We were there for 14 days, from morning until midnight every day. Thank you for hosting and for helping us making this album.
Thank you Birk Storm for EVERYTHING. We are so proud to be this deep involved in your arts, your work and your life.
A big and warm thanks to our dear friend and drummer Andreas Grønne for being in the studio with us and for being a part of this record.
All the songs are mastered by Brian Mørk Hansen. Thank you so much for being a part of our journey since the first single.
Our label No3, One Seven and Junobird all the lovely people working with us and our music daily - we are so grateful. Thank you so much for making this album a reality, for believing in us and our dreams. We couldn’t be happier.
Thank you Koda Kultur for the financial support.
At last but not least. Thank you to our families, our friends and loved ones for being a part of our lives and for all the support <3
